This tour is an opportunity to paddle at what is usually the calmest time of day. Right around sunset The Lake usually lays down and on these glassy evenings we can take underwater lights out to see a sea cave, sea stack. We are able to light it up with our lights and the shipwreck and the fish hiding inside can all be seen with a starlit background.

Lake Superior can be unpredictable, especially around Meyers Beach, Devils Island, and Sand Island. Weather can shift quickly and create unsafe conditions. Calmer and safer alternatives include Romans Point, Chequamegon Bay, and Basswood Island.

If conditions make your original sea cave tour unsafe, we may:

Reroute to a safer location
Transfer your trip to another trusted outfitter
Offer a refund or reschedule only if no alternate sea cave tour is possible

We do not issue refunds just because the location changes due to weather. Full refunds are only given if we can’t provide a sea cave tour at any of our alternate spots.

As you may know, the surrounding cities have implemented various permits and licensing regulations for launching from public beaches. While we fully respect these rules, they can create hurdles that detract from the seamless, stress-free experiences we aim to provide. Going forward, all of our kayak tours will launch directly from a pontoon boat, adding a unique and exciting twist to your adventure. Depending on the location, guests will either board the boat at the dock or wade out a short distance to meet us before we set off. This new approach ensures a smoother, more enjoyable start to your journey while allowing us to avoid the crowds and bureaucratic hurdles of public beach launches, so we can focus on exploring the stunning natural beauty that awaits you.

This approach lets us focus on what we do best—connecting you with nature and crafting a one-of-a-kind experience. By stepping aboard, you’ll enjoy the tranquility of setting out directly from the water, away from the noise and restrictions of busy launch points.

For every kayak tour we offer, you’ll enjoy the convenience of free public parking right at the launch location. Instead of launching directly from the beach, our tours now begin from a pontoon boat anchored just 10 feet offshore in two feet of water. Please note that you’ll need to wade out to the pontoon boat, so be prepared to get wet. This unique launch method allows us greater flexibility to deliver a more seamless and memorable experience, ensuring you get the most out of your adventure!
