How It Works – Apostle Islands Adventure Collective

When you’re a member, you’re invited to join daily private club gatherings—designed exclusively for members. These aren’t tours; they’re member-organized outings voted on each day by the founding members, based on the weather and conditions.

Each gathering runs about 2 hours. We meet you at the designated launch site with all the gear ready to go.

Club members can sign up for any available date and time on the activity calendar when you sign up for a membership.

Each activity timeslot allows 12 ppl to sign up.

We need at least 4 members to sign up for the timeslot by 12 hours before it happens or we will not be doing an activity at that time.

The day before we will contact the members that are signed up with the next days itinerary.  On a day with perfect weather we will try to go to the Chequamegon Bay sea caves in the morning and Romans Point in the afternoon as far as the paddling activity for that day

The club selects the best experience for the day’s weather, whether it’s paddling sea caves or exploring local waterfalls. We try to offer one morning and one afternoon activity. Safety is our first concern.

You’re never required to join any specific gathering. If you’re not into the chosen activity that day, just sit it out and join us another time—your membership is flexible and good for a full year from the date of purchase.

  • When the wind is from the northeast, we usually paddle Roman’s Point.
  • From the south, we head to Bono Creek sea caves
  • If it’s from the west, we paddle the Chequamegon Bay sea caves.
  • If it’s from the The NW we go usually go to the Red Cliff sea caves
  • On rainy days or high-wind conditions, we often hike to Siskiwit Falls, Houghton Falls, or paddle the Bark Bay Slough.
  • All club activities take place on the mainland and we do not go to Meyers Beach.  Once you have paddled a club outing at least one time you are able to take the club kayaks to Meyers Beach on your own.
